On occasion prices may exceed $1200 on a puppy that is found to have exceptional qualities and/or very small size.
I know how it feels to want a tiny dog and get your hopes all up just to find out your new pet has grown up to be a bigger size, and so I really do try my best to be as accurate as possible when stating the adult size of your puppy. If you are wanting a teacup that is going to be around 3 pounds full grown I will gladly hold your puppy for you until it is 12 weeks old to get a better estimate on size if you like. Please understand this is an educated guess, (based from many years of breeding),and not an exact weight. The puppy can be a pound more or less than this estimate at a year of age. Please read size info on guarantee, (below), and also on the puppy weight chart page

We get black, white, cream, light apricot, chocolate, cafe au lait, silver beige, and beige colored poodles from our breeding dogs. We can also get red from London since her father is a dark red... I like to think of all our tiny puppies as being precious gifts from above. Please feel free to contact me for puppy advice or just to chat. I love to hear how the puppies are doing in their new homes.

GROOMING: Poodles require a coat trimming once a month but can go two or three months between grooming if you keep them in a puppy or short cut. I can also show or explain to you how to trim your Poodle, if you would like to do it yourself. You will need to brush your poodle at least twice a week to keep his coat looking it's best. You do not have to worry about cleaning up stray hairs from your furniture, since this is a non shedding breed. They are also dander free which is just wonderful if you have asthma or allergies! The perfect indoor pet!!! Don't forget to brush your Poodles teeth at least once a week, because all toy breeds are prone to tooth decay if not cleaned regularly. I also take my dogs in to the vet for a more in depth dental cleaning once a year. Keep those pearly whites looking perfect!
*I guarantee the health of your puppy, as long as you follow these directions for the puppy’s proper care:
1.Vet check: Take your new puppy to the veterinarian within 72 hours of receiving it. This is required to keep your health guarantee. Your puppy will come with shots and worming up to date. Puppy must also finish his puppy shot regiment and be on a heartworm preventative or guarantee is null and void.
2. Measure your puppy’s food intake: I will send some
food, (Science Diet Puppy Small Bites), home with your new puppy. If your puppy is shipped I will not be able to send this food, so please have it on hand before you pick your puppy up from the airport. **If you would like to change his/her diet please call me first, so I can explain the proper way to switch from one kind of food to another. Measure food intake for the first few months to make sure your puppy is eating enough. You must remember that teacup puppies only eat very small amounts of food at a time but they exert large amounts of energy, so food and water should be available to your puppy 24 hours a day. It only takes 1 or 2 missed meals for a small puppy to have a life threatening period of low blood sugar. Signs of this include lethargic or sleepy behavior, not wanting to eat, unbalanced when walking, weak, and not playful like normal. In the most serious cases the puppy will have seizures. If you think your puppy is having a low blood sugar episode contact the vet immediately. All puppies have different tastes and some will only eat their food if you wet it down first. I also have a few other suggetions for diet located on our PUPPY DIET page. You can also call me for advice any time of day. It is also my advice to buy a tube of Nutrical to give to your puppy every mourning and every night. Just ¾ of an inch of Nutrical squeezed out of the tube is enough. This will help prevent a low blood sugar episode. You can stop this supplement when the puppy reaches it’s adult weight.
3. Keep puppy warm: These are inside pets, extreme temperatures can be fatal. A small body loses heat quickly so at least for the first few months my advice would be to keep a heating pad, (on low), available to your puppy. Make sure to keep the cord out of the puppy’s reach, so as to avoid electric shock. Always give puppy enough space to get away from the heating pad if he/she gets to warm. Again I have to state do not leave your teacup Poodle out side unattended. These are small dogs and weather changes can occur quickly, also predatory animals may harm your Poodle if left out side.
4. Keep puppy kenneled: Put your puppy in a confined area or crate so it does not over exert itself or get into trouble. A puppy loves to be right under your feet, and being so small one false step can easily injure or kill your puppy. This is why I recommend if you have small children to watch them closely with the new puppy. Please do not leave your puppy on a bed or couch. If it falls or jumps down it could break a leg. Although these dogs seem quite fragile they are a joy to have. I have 5 young children and my 3 teacup poodles have never been hurt in any way by them. This is just to advice you on what could happen so you can be as watchful of an owner as I.
*GUARANTEE: Your puppy will see the veterinarian within a few days of transfer and will come with a certificate stating he/she is in good health. All of our dogs are of the best quality! I raise them to improve the breed and create a healthy Teacup/Tiny Toy sized Poodle, and will not sale, or breed a dog with undesirable traits or medical problems. All guarantees expire when the puppy reaches 12 months of age, so any grievances must be made before this date. I do not refund money. In the event your puppy is found to have a life threatening genetic health abnormality I will allow you to keep your puppy, and will give you an additional healthy pup of equal value, out of a future litter. I will also replace any puppy found to be grossly over it's adult weight/height estimate. On size I can only guarantee that I have been honest in my estimate using the weight chart to graph your puppies adult weight estimate. If puppy is grossly over it's adult weight/height estimate you must send that puppy back to me and exchange it for a smaller puppy out of a future litter. I must see puppy in person and determine for myself if the puppy has grown grossly over its estimated weight/height, or if puppy is obese from over feeding. ** A puppy that is found to be obese from over feeding, or fed any food other than the ones I recommend on my PUPPY DIET page, is not covered by my guarantee. (Do not feed your puppy table scraps!) All guarantees expire if and when you breed your Poodle, otherwise your puppy is guaranteed for the first year of life. If a puppy must be replaced all shipping charges will be the responsibility of the buyer. In the event of a puppy’s death after transfer, buyer must have a necropsy done by his/her local vet, and findings must be the death was from a genetic abnormality to qualify for a new puppy. I do not guarantee against Hypoglycemia, Coccidiosis, Parasites, or other stress or environmental related conditions once the puppy has been transferred. I also do not guarantee any cosmetic or easily fixed conditions, such as an over bite, hernia, or undescended testicles. Again I assure you, your puppy will have seen a vet and if any of these conditions are present I would not sell that puppy. We have never had any instances where a puppy had to be replaced. All our dogs are very healthy and get physicals every 6 months. We have never had a puppy born with a genetic defect.
Goodies: All puppies come either APRI or UKC registered. They will also come with a weight chart/graph that I have recorded their weight on from birth. Your puppy will have a frameable birth certificate, food, blanky, toy, and one surprise gift when he/she comes home with you. Check out some examples of the free gifts we have given in the past at: FREE GIFTS. They will come shots, worming up to date plus tail and dewclaws done.
SHIPPING: We are located in Harrisonville, Missouri. That is less than a hour from Kansas City, Kansas. To ship a puppy within the continental USA is an additional $200 to $250. This includes the required travel crate, and health certificate to fly. I ship puppies that I deem ready for transport at 8 to 12 weeks of age. I trust Continental Airlines with my tiny puppies because they provide a temp. controlled room and watch the puppies the entire time they have them...This is a worry free and safe way to send your puppy. Sometimes I may have to send puppies using other airlines, but I always check for safe pet handling procedures before doing so. International buyers must contact me for shipping arrangements.
We hope all our puppies have found their forever homes when they leave us, but understand life is full of unexpected events. If for any reason you have to get rid of your Teacup Poodle please send him/her back to us instead of the humane society or a stranger. I will pay for shipping if needed.
If you decide to buy a puppy from us at Jordan Family Kennels it is assumed you have read and agree with the guarantee stated above.
